Current Shop Favourites, August 2018

It has been so long since I checked in on this blog! I feel like I haven't stopped at all over the past few months, so I shall use that as my excuse for not staying on top of all the projects I like to create for myself.

I'm going to ease myself back in to blog-life with this quick glance over a few of my favourite things, currently for sale on Web And Nest.

(Is it exceptionally vain to applaud myself for finding and stocking lovely things? I don't care).

A little known fact about me is that I can sense a vintage Laura Ashley dress from a mile away. I am an addict, I can sniff them out. My husband is now well used to having his arm pulled out of the socket as I drag him towards one of these babies.

Laura Ashley aside, I honestly believe velvet is an Autumn/Winter essential for any wardrobe. Yes, I am aware it is August, but it won't always be August! This heat wave has to end sooner or later, and with this beautiful party dress, you would be well prepared.

Some of my favourite details here are the dark floral print, the seriously princess-y sleeves and the row of tiny buttons in the back.

Good lord, I have one serious resting bitch face.

This 1960's Glaser cardigan is one of the best things I have ever hunted down.
The condition is immaculate, it can be worn neat or oversized (I do love a knit that will work for anyone!) and the colours are moody and versatile.

Stripes! Plus a very slight puff at the shoulders, this shirt is guaranteed to make you feel like a Tim Burton character.

Versatile is my word of the day, apparently. This skirt would be perfect in any season, and the midi length is super flattering if you're a taller lady, like me.

And now for something a little different...

I have been trying to find more pieces of gift wear for the shop (is it too early to start harping on about Christmas?), and these two are definite highlights.

The brooch is a porcelain Coalport floral arrangement, which would make a beautiful accessory for a bride or a wedding guest, don't you think?

The little guy on the right is a 1970's porcelain ornament, and proof that I cannot leave a vintage fair without buying something that "looked at me like it needed help".

Either would make a great gift for any vintage/flower/cat lover!

I'd love to hear what your current favourites on my Etsy shop are - or if you have a favourite vintage style or item of clothing that I seem to be missing! Check out the shop and hit me up through here, Etsy or Instagram.
